Account & sign-in

I didn't get my sign-in email

Magic-link emails come from noreply@nomnomgo.app. Check your spam folder first.

If it still hasn't arrived after a few minutes, wait 60 seconds and request a new link — old links expire. Some corporate inboxes block transactional senders; try a personal email if so.

How do I change my email or display name?

Open the app → AccountEdit profile. You can update your display name and profile photo there. Changing the email on your account requires re-verification — tap the email field and follow the prompt.

Can I have more than one account?

One account per email. If you want to keep travel and home life separate, sign out and back in with a different email — your scans stay on the account they were posted from.

Scans & allergies

The scanner couldn't identify my dish

Try a clearer, well-lit photo with the dish filling most of the frame. Avoid heavy filters or table reflections. If the dish is regional and uncommon, the model may return its best guess — you can tap "Not quite right?" to send us feedback and help the model improve.

How accurate are the allergen warnings?

Allergen detection is based on the dish's typical ingredients, not the actual plate in front of you. If you have a serious allergy, always confirm with the restaurant. The app is a guide, not a guarantee.

How do I update my allergy profile?

Account → Allergies. Toggle anything you want flagged. Future scans will highlight matching ingredients automatically.

Why is my scan still "Analyzing…"?

Most scans finish in under a second. If yours is stuck, you're probably on a slow or captive Wi-Fi network. Pull down to refresh; if it still fails, the scan is saved and you can retry from Scan history.

Community & hotspots

How do hotspots get added?

Every time someone scans a dish and tags a place, that place becomes a community pin. The more scans and high ratings a spot has, the more prominently it shows on the map and in the city's curated lists.

Can I report inappropriate content?

Tap the ··· menu on any post and choose Report. We review reports within 24 hours and remove anything that violates our acceptable-use rules.

Why don't I see hotspots near me?

The community is still growing. We're rolling out city-by-city — Bangkok and Chiang Mai are live, with more cities added as scan density picks up. Your scans help bootstrap your city's map.

Data & privacy

How do I delete my account?

Open the app → AccountDelete Account. This permanently removes your auth user and linked profile data. You can't undo it.

If the in-app option isn't working for you, email hello@nomnomgo.app from your account address and we'll handle it within 7 days.

What happens to my scans if I delete my account?

Your private scans are deleted. Posts you shared publicly to the community feed are anonymized (your handle is removed) but the dish data remains, so other travelers' hotspot recommendations stay intact.

Can I export my data?

Yes — email us at hello@nomnomgo.app from your account address and we'll send a JSON export of your scans, profile, and ratings within 30 days.
